Sorry for the more than two week delay, but it's been a wee bit busy on our end. On Saturday, January 3rd we welcomed baby girl #2, Catherine Jane Fleming aka "Katie" into our family. Almost a month early she weighed in at just over 7lbs and was 20 inches long. It's been a busy two weeks, but we are loving having Katie in our family and Libby is also loving her role as big sister.

    Hi all,

Just realized it's been 7 months since my last update! Libby is now 20+ months and a very busy little girl. She's got lots of words, lots of teeth and she finally walks! She made her first steps at 17.5 months, 2 weeks shy of the dr's deadline - guess she likes to do things on her own time.

She's now into everything. Hide and seek is one of her favourite games - she hides, mummy and daddy look under the bed and ask "is Libby down here?" then we hear a voice from the closet say "Noooo".

Libby had a bit of a rough transition to the toddler room at daycare, but seems to be enjoying it now. She loves playing with her cousins and definitely looks up to her big cousin "Russ".
She is still an unreliable sleeper at best, but overall is an amazing and funny little girl who her mummy and daddy are convinced is the best little girl in town!

Grandma Vandepeer-Bradley:  I agree that she is amazing and clever and beautiful, and I miss her terribly!

Libby turned 15 months a couple days ago and as ever is the light in her mummy and daddy's eyes! She's taking her time on the walking front, but is crawling everywhere, pulling herself up on everything and loves climbing any set of stairs.

Libby is also getting new words every day. Her faves are: Book, ball, bye-bye, hi, fish, mama, dada, papa and yes... Nana (Grandma is a little too advance for her yet - but don't worry Grandma, she's working on it!). Libby loves her "school" and being around other kids. She is a really fun little girl to be around (except for maybe at 4am - still her favourite time to party!)

Grandma Vandepeer-Bradley:  wow, isn't Libby growing up? What a delight to see that she has the speech gene like the rest of us!!!I can't wait for each update. Natalie
Nana:  This little girl is more brilliant by the minute. Nana is thrilled that one of her favourite words is

    Hi all!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently - Mummy lost our camera! But she's got a new one and promises to update with new photos as soon as she figures out how to use it. In the meantime, you'll have to make do with pictures she stole off of Russell and Connor's site!

As for me, I'm doing well - rolling is my new mode of transport (who needs crawling?) and I've got 4 new teeth. Fun times.

8 months old today! Still taking my time as far as sitting up, but laughing and babbling a lot and having a good time. I have recently discovered how to scream extra loud and find it especially fun to do so in the wee hours of the morning.

auntie Jodie:  Happy Birthday today and may you have many happy moments screaming and exercizing your lungs! This will lead to abilities in singing later. Much love to you and Mum and Dad.

Had a wonderful first Christmas with the Canadian relies and Grandma all the way from Australia! Libby is smiling now and very active - exciting stuff for her doting parents.

Got some new pics today, courtesy of our friend Arun - he's good: check out www.arunaan.blogspot.com Libby has finally figured out the feeding thing so she's in the good books, even though she's decidedly nocturnal.

It's been just over a week and Libby has grown a little less squishy and a little more gorgeous...of course, that's a biased judgement!

Mum and Dad have been well looked after, thanks to gifts of beautiful food from friends and rellies...it has been a lifesaver when sleep is at such a premium. The gifts from everyone have been amazing...including some great books, and from having nothing pink to wear, Libby now has a closet jammed with beautiful pink, girly things.
